Katherine and Lachlan were married under wild thunderstorms and enough hail to look like it snowed, but that didn’t deter them from having an awesome time. Once again I returned to the iconic Mount Dandenong venue, Marybrooke Manor in Sherbrooke for a nice and relaxed wedding that raged into the night, with Dj Ian on the decks. The getting ready until end of formalities was well spaced out, so no rushing was needed and we could get variety on the shoot session, both utilising indoors and the amazing garden’s the property has to offer.

Tell me about the beginning!

We met in high school - we were both in the same year level but didn't start dating until the end of year 12.

Our first date we went to a restaurant and it was closed so we had to find another one, then Katherine talked for too long and we missed the movie we were meant to see and instead picked a random movie which ended up being a mystery thriller which was not a very traditional first date movie. Topped off with Lachlan's sister calling him serval times as she was overseas at the time and trying to get in contact with her parents for their Sunday chat.

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged in March 2022 - At a beach in Mt Eliza

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day? Feel free to elaborate about your choices and venue.

Natural - we wanted the beautiful nature of our soundings to be the star of the show. We love our venue because it is situated what feels like the middle of the forest. For florals we wanted to go for Australian natives.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

I am really looking forward to seeing Lachlan's face as I walk down the aisle but mostly I am really just looking forward to being married to Lachlan.
