Adele & Patrick’s Melbourne Registry Elopement

Wedding Couple on the steps of Parliament House Melbourne for their wedding elopement photoshoot

Adele & Patrick

Melbourne Treasury Elopement at Epoca Carlton

Adele & Patrick were just the sweetest, I only met and spoke to them for the first time on the steps of the Treasury Building where they got hitched on a mild Saturday in February. In true Treasury style everyone was ushered into the main ceremony room and we got underway pretty quickly. Legals were said, kisses and rings exchanged and we are married!

We kept our photoshoot pretty swift and on the move as we had to transit to their reception at Epoca Carlton. We had an ever changing light as the sun came in and out, so even in the few minutes we had on the steps of Parliament House, we had some epic soft light and some epic hard light (my favourite) to work with.

As cool as Adele’s shoes were, they absolutely were not made for walking across the city on hard concrete or even on the soft grass of the Carlton Gardens in the lead up to Epoca. So Patrick being the true softy that he is, literally piggy-backed Adele down Spring St and scooped her up to carry her over the grass. What a legend! That day was a day for weddings as I saw two of my photo and video friends in transit around the venue.

I went for a full black and white treatment on the Treasury photos, the light is just muddy and with the scaffolding around the building for the restoration works, not letting a lot of natural light.
