Philippa & Ignacia

An international affair at the Prince Deck St Kilda organised in just 5 weeks.

Can you organise a wedding in 5 weeks while the two of them are in International Quarantine? You bet you can, Philippa and Ignacio did just that, organising everything via phone and email and it all came together flawlessly in the end right in the middle of let’s face it, another CoCo shit storm. These two are just next level beautiful, they have so much passion for each other, they create an energy field like I have never seen around them. Born travellers, they met in the most romantic city in the world (Paris), they have travelled the world for adventure, humanitarian and environmental work, then finally settling down in Norway. Even their little boy Raf is straight out of a fashion catalogue, melting hearts of their guests with his flowing locks of hair and cool outfit. He even got on the decks with the DJ which was hella cute.

I love this type of wedding, less focus on the details and more on the connection and celebration with their loved ones. The native Australian flowers were picked from a local garden and put together in the hotel room they got ready in minutes before we headed out for our photo shoot at the St Kilda Botanical Gardens. Ignacio being a skilled scout was able to tie them together like a boss and it just worked. Their outfits were stunning and fitting for their personalities, they just totally rocked it.

The Prince Deck in St Kilda was an ideal setting, attentive staff, great food and a super cool vibe. The day finished off with an incredible dance, a ballroom style salsa which would absolutely blow your socks off, they made my heart absolutely race with the passion and skill they put into that. Wow is all I can say. They even had two first dances, because that’s how they roll.

I have had a series of weddings lately, most likely due to the state of the world at the moment, become more stripped back and intimate which does cause less stress in the end and to me it just feels right. I feel more connected to my couples yielding better photographs, they spend more time with each guest and family which is the true reason why we are all here. If your wedding sounds likes this, get in touch, I feel like we will just get along. Philippa and Ignacio’s wedding was inspiring, touching and a reflection of their authentic selves and that is truly special to capture.
