Rozemarijn & Johan’s Delft Netherlands Couple Session
As a traveling photographer, I have had the privilege of capturing the intimate moments of couples from all corners of the world. But there are some shoots that stand out, and my experience with Roze and Johan is one of them. I met this lovely couple by sheer chance when I was photographing a wedding in the South of France. I was in need of a ride back from the church and the last car to leave was Roze's. During the ride, Roze shared her disappointment with her wedding photos, stating that they didn't truly reflect who they were as a couple. I saw this as an opportunity to offer my services and suggested that I take a couple's session with them in their hometown of Delft. They were thrilled with the idea and immediately introduced me to her husband Johan. From that moment on, we hit it off and I knew that this was going to be a special shoot.
After spending a month traveling through Spain and Italy, I made my way back to the Netherlands and met up with Roze and Johan at their beautiful home on the outskirts of Delft. The timing couldn't have been more perfect as we had a seemingly never-ending golden hour of light. The energy and excitement in the photos are all genuine, as they have a mad passion for each other and love to make each other laugh. No prompting was necessary, as their love was evident in every shot.
The shoot was incredibly enjoyable and the couple was so easy to work with. They were natural in front of the camera and I could see the love and affection they have for each other in every shot. It was difficult to select a curated collection of images as every photo was full of life and beautiful light. We truly captured their love for each other and for their hometown of Delft. To end the shoot, we headed to their favorite bar for some robust beers and whiskeys. I had a great time getting to know them, and the images we captured are a testament to that.
